Autumn-winter 2009/2010 fashion with Scarlett Johansson and MANGO

The woman of the moment for fashion this autumn-winter 2009/2010 is Scarlett Johansson, just in case you hadn’t heard. This American actress has been able to make her curves a point of reference and MANGO have chosen her to represent them worldwide.
To coincide with this partnership we already had a peek at the first trends from the Spanish brand modelled by Johansson. But that’s not all there is, since the winter months are very long and your wardrobe really has to be in good shape to deal with several months of cold weather. Read more…
Scarlett Johansson and MANGO, businesswoman look

MANGO’s current muse, actress and singer Scarlett Johansson, presented the fashion brand’s new collection a few days ago at The Charles Hotel in Munich (Germany). Her outfit was the perfect example of the complete businesswoman look.
It was clear she was there to work, and that she’s not only the face of the advertising campaign on paper and video, but is also an ambassador for the firm and looks perfect for it. Two simple items, a pencil skirt and a patterned blouse, and she’s all set for success. Read more…
Celebrity hairstyles: Blake Lively, Victoria Beckham, Scarlett Johansson, Penélope Cruz, Rihanna and Megan Fox, among others.

Quite often people want to reflect celebrity style embracing new trends. From Blake Lively’s elegant style to Rihanna’s more risqué rockier style, without forgetting MANGO girl Scarlett Johansson or new popular faces, like Megan Fox, who join the more established ones, led by Victoria Beckham.
And it’s exactly the same with hairstyles and haircuts. Their styles are copied by many who want to somehow reproduce them. Hairdressers know this and so do we. That is why we are going to talk about some of the main hairstyles, to get some tips for winter. Read more…
If you were a shoe, what type of MANGO shoe would you be?

I must admit that footwear is one of my weaknesses… in all its guises: boots, platforms, sandals, wedges… I love them all! Many of you are sure to share this love for footwear, so I’ve got a little game-cum-survey for you.
Let’s start with MANGO’s autumn-winter collection, which you’re bound to have looked at already. Well, if you had to choose one piece of footwear to match your style, which would it be?
Maybe you’re mad about classic styles, like the shoes in the photo above, which are reinvented every season but with the same basic mould. I’ve really fallen for these suede ones, in two different colours.
Solidarity needn’t clash with fashion trends
Being in the fashion business doesn’t mean you can’t be charitable. On the contrary, fashion is one of the best launch pads from which to send out messages of solidarity: trends also speak the language of good intentions. MANGO is extremely conscious of this fact, so for the last few years it has been making the most of its influence within the fashion industry to raise awareness of problems existing in society, promoting universal values and fighting illnesses that affect us all, particularly women.
Plus, it also does this in a coherent manner and in the spirit of the brand, through original, different and unique pieces of clothing which everyone can effortlessly include in their wardrobe.
Tactics for shopping: what kind of shopper are you?

Going shopping is more than just an act of consumerism – it’s a ritual. No matter how much you might say it’s only a hobby, it’s actually more of a sport. It’s not as easy, fun or haphazard as it might seem. The thing is, looking at clothes is quite entertaining, but deciding what to keep… well, that’s a completely different story.
I’m sure many of you, even if you’ve never stopped to think about it, follow the same pattern every time you leave the house to go shopping. So, if you have no idea yet what your “blood group” is when it comes to shopping, here you have an x-ray of different types of potential shoppers. Let’s see if you can identify with any of them…
How to save on your electric bill

Whether you live alone or with your parents, you’re probably aware that electricity bills are really dreaded. The price has gone up a fair bit over the last few years and our pockets are feeling the pinch. As you can’t really live without electricity, here are a few simple tips to lower your bill and avoid wasting energy.
As kids we were taught to always remember to make the most of daylight and only use lights that are strictly necessary.
Invest in some energy-saving light bulbs. They’re more expensive than conventional ones, and at first it might seem they give off less light or take a while to go on, but the truth is that their lifespan is longer than that of normal light bulbs, you save electricity on a monthly basis, and you can really tell when the bill arrives.
Letizia Ortiz’s MANGO look

The whole of Europe (and the rest of the world also!) know that Letizia is a fan of Spanish fashion, but the fact that she is a fan of one of the most successful Spanish brands is perhaps not so well-known.
Until one day, you suddenly see the princess looks fantastic in the same grey dress you have in your wardrobe, teamed up with a trendy leather jacket, on one of her state visits to Chicago.
Yes, the very same dress! A dress with an elaborate neckline which can be used as easily for an official trip, as for a Monday morning at uni or a more formal dinner. It all depends on how you accessorize it.
Street looks, perfect for sightseeing

When it comes to tourism not all dress styles are suitable for visiting certain cities, filled with slopes and cobbled streets: these can be really heavy-going on your feet, the first to suffer when choosing a certain style.
This is why, when travelling, you should depend more on common sense than on personal taste when choosing outfits. It’s true we all have a weakness for high heels since they are the most flattering type of footwear around, but they are definitely not the best option for an exhausting day of sightseeing.
This is why we are proposing 10 street styles which will help you be perfectly dressed this winter, without having to forget fashion and look like the typical tourist in white socks and sandals. Read more…
Dress for a party for less than 100 euros
The idea that you have to bankrupt yourself when buying clothes for special occasions is now a thing of the past. This season, eveningwear can also be used during the day and the looks we use for celebrating are increasingly versatile, which means you can’t use expense as an excuse not to dress up.
Thanks to MANGO Think Up, you can create exclusive looks for under 100 euros. All you have to do is get a hold of the key items we suggest in our catalogue, and alternate them.
