Grey, a trend for spring dresses

The colour grey, in all shades, is going to be one of the strongest trends colour-wise for spring 2010. It’s not generally a colour that is associated with this season full of pinks and bright colours, but on this occasion it seems to be very fitting for the dresses from MANGO’s spring collection.
At times grey might seem too sober or too sad. Personally I think it’s a very elegant colour. And do you know what this colour stands for? Independence, self-sufficiency and self-control. It’s a colour for women who are strong and decisive, yet also feminine.
Here are some examples from MANGO’s spring collection. The top photo shows three dresses in three different shades of dark grey. These wide-cut dresses are figure-hugging at strategic points: waist, hips or below the chest.
What I like the most about these proposals is the magnificent contrast of grey with brown accessories. Both shades stand out, without cancelling each other out, and the final result is extremely chic.
Although for a chic ladylike look here are another three proposals that fit to perfection. Bows, belts and buttons nip in these dresses at the waist, emphasising the silhouette. Light grey, combined with black accessories and details is a safe bet, and is sure to guarantee elegance.

And finally, there is a trend that merges characteristics from sportswear with the sophistication of a dress. These heather grey shades you see below, along with the fabrics, are rapidly associated with sportswear. The cut of the dresses, one in bias and the other in a baggy style, and the petal skirt provide femininity.

You can combine them with flat or high-heel sandals and create very different looks just by playing about with accessories. They’re comfortable and basic dresses for your spring wardrobe.

i love the 3rd dark grey dress!!!
me too!!
But I simply love grey! A great surprise that it’ll be quite the thing we’ll need. What about me I’ll wear it with bright spots of pink, blue, limon, these can marvellously complete the look of a lady in grey. Think gaily! And don’t forget about belts.
love them all – even the combination with accescoires in cognac!:)
