Fashion Swap Party: a really THINK UP party

When we suggested the contest “The best THINK UP idea” I loved reading all the original and affordable ideas you sent in. Your imagination and experiences gave us new ideas for being on trend without spending too much.
There were several suggestions I found very original, like the Fashion Swap Party, a brilliant idea I would like to share with you since it’s great to have one with your friends.
So, what do these three words mean? A Fashion Swap Party is a party where friends all get together to exchange clothes. It’s like going shopping with your friends, but at home and without spending anything at all.
Apparently, these parties are quite common in countries like the United Kingdom and Italy and I certainly plan to hold one with my friends. Wardrobes tend to get filled up with things you don’t like, either because you no longer use them or because you bought them on a whim and don’t know what to wear them with. So take all those items out of your wardrobe and tell your friends to do the same.
Once you’ve decided what clothes you’re going to swap, choose the day and place for the party and everything else you’ll need: food, drink, good music … You can do your swaps during the party, while partying with all your friends.
Who can tell? Perhaps you’ll be able to get a hold of that t-shirt of your best friend’s you like so much and always wanted to have, or those MANGO trousers you weren’t able to get at the time. All this without spending money and safe in the knowledge that the clothes come from your friends.
I’m sure the clothes you want to get rid of could be a great find for that friend of yours who loves vintage or mixing trends. It’s a case of showing off your belongings and coming to an agreement.
By the way, don’t forget accessories. At Fashion Swap Parties you can also exchange costume jewellery, scarves, handbags and any sort of accessory you no longer use.
Shopping was never so cheap, right?
