After practically six months of being with you daily through this little notebook of ideas with its thrifty, ingenious, modern and always positive spirit, we’re saying goodbye. Or maybe… see you soon!

It looks like we’ve come to the end of the road. All these months we have been immersed in the Think Up spirit, and of all the great things we’ve discovered, my favourites are the tips.

I think the fashion swap party with friends is a great idea, and could become an annual rendezvous that you can extend to more friends.

We’ve shown you that DIY – do it yourself – rules. Whether it’s with a t-shirt from Moises de la Renta’s limited edition collection or with a collage of your photographs, turning something routine into something special is part of these ideas.

We’ve seen the best party looks for winter, and also for summer. We’ve set limits to our budget, and we’ve also allowed ourselves to get carried away by the passion of shopping at MANGO.

Without doubt, the best part was seeing all your ideas and knowing that the blogosphere, Spanish icons and the desires you’ve expressed, have fallen at the feet of the Spanish brand.

We’ve all learnt from the most stylish fashion icons, from Diane Kruger, Blake Lively, Lauren Conrad, Alexa Chung and Sienna Miller, to our current muse, Scarlett Johansson, someone to look up to for casual fashion, make-up or businesswoman looks.

We’ve travelled to Oslo and Stockholm and followed the steps of Twilight, Sex and The City and Gossip Girl. We’ve also shown you all the cities you can visit and when to do it, how to save money and what to pack.

Do we know about fashion? We’re real fans of fashion! We couldn’t miss The September Issue and we won’t be missing any of the new series.

Every trend, every style, for her and him, has had a spot on this space. Since this isn’t goodbye we’ll continue to look for a different style, with good and better ideas, and to do so we’ll have to do a lot of research and asking around.

Good weather means you can wear more daring, and therefore shorter, outfits to keep cool in spring. For MANGO’s Spring-Summer 2010 collection, already in stores, mini-dresses are a great choice.

They’re available in many styles and models so you can choose to suit your taste and usual dress style. These five are my favourites.

On-trend floral print is one of your must-have buys at the moment, especially with bright colours like those on the dress in the main photo.

Denim is another major player this spring. Short, strappy and sleeveless.

If you’re going to a party or for cocktails, you’ll need a particular kind of outfit, so a strapless dress could be your saviour! I prefer the blue version to the black one.

If you mix everything mentioned above – florals, vintage blue and the strapless model – you get this wonderful design. One of the best.

And for those of you who like music and mixing black and white, there’s nothing better than this strappy mini-dress, with its piano theme.

Any talk of a weekend away could take you straight to Paris, Rome or London. But… how about going for places that have always been talked about and are now more popular than ever, instead of the more touristy destinations?

 Yes, life as an Erasmus student is a major point of reference for many reasons: university life, young people, services for everyone, a great public transport network, extremely interesting leisure activities on offer… all very affordable.

There’s Prague, a historic city with perfect offers, such as romantic boat trips along the Vltava to see the city from the water. Paropvlaya or Jazz Boat offer a meal and music for 30 euros.

You could also take a walk through one of its most famous parks, the Letna Park, with its spectacular views of the town centre, Mount Petrin and the Castle.

Croatia is an increasingly popular destination. You can find cheap flights almost daily from any part of Europe. You will land in a country full of wonderful spots: the capital Dubrovnik with its walled city, or historic cities like Pula, with its Roman circus. It’s also full of exotic cities like Split and Sibenik, and countryside with natural parks or tiny islands you can get to from coastal cities.

The former Soviet city of Tallinn is wonderfully historic. The Estonian capital is a grouping of castles, cathedrals and cobbled streets forming one of the best-preserved mediaeval cities in Europe. Plus, the capital has free wi-fi practically everywhere (from the airport) and is a major point of reference in the development of IT applications, starting with Skype. And that’s without even mentioning the day cruises to Scandinavian countries.

Lisbon, the Portuguese capital, also has a very interesting cultural offer, with romantic spots as well as a very appealing Museum of Fashion.

And I can’t help but finish this top 5 with the 2010 European capital of culture: Istanbul, an amazing destination full of contrasts. And this year there are surprising activities every day, so you should check out their official tourism website.

A good tip for all travellers is to get a youth hostel card so you can stay at really central and affordable locations, and be with other travellers.

What are your top 5 cities?

As the good weather approaches, sleeves, skirts and dresses are getting shorter. And so are jackets: blazers, cardigans and leather jackets also barely reach your navel.

It was a well-loved famous French designer, sadly now gone, who popularised this design we know so well. Despite the fact that many people find it uncomfortable when jackets don’t reach their waist, cropped jackets are very youthful and are perfect for a time of year when you can really do without excess centimetres on clothes.

One of my favourite suggestions from MANGO for spring-summer 2010 is this striped blazer.

This jacket in smoky grey denim is a fresh and informal option.

Which we rate as highly as this leather jacket.

When it comes to cardigans, this one in floral print is as romantic as they come.

And for evenings, there’s nothing better than this shiny model.

I’d wear this over a metallic mini-dress, rather than a black shirt and pleated skirt; or more informally, with a white shirt and jeans, in a look which is also suitable for daytime.

At MANGO Think Up we’ve shown you several examples of DIY techniques to help you customise or create new garments or objects for decoration or organisation.

There are many advantages to DIY philosophy. On the one hand the satisfaction of making your own creations and on the other, saving money. Plus, DIY is a way to channel and express your creativity. Personally, I love this way of thinking and creating and recommend it to everyone.

Moreover, you could make some money by selling your own creations through webpages like My Crafty Closet or Etsy. A bit of extra cash would come in handy for buying that MANGO item you like so much, wouldn’t it?

You can show off and sell your creations on sites like these, as well as buying things made by other people. Each product is unique and you can get more ideas for things to make by browsing these pages. All you have to do is set up a profile and upload photos of your creations.

Plus, these kinds of webs have workshop-type sections where you can learn customising, DIY and sewing techniques to apply to your new creations. There are also communities you can use to communicate with others who share your love of DIY.

If you’re not too good at DIY, these pages might interest you as you’ll find unique, curious and artistic pieces that might come in handy as original gifts, to update your looks or to decorate your home.

Ways of listening to music have changed in the last few years. Many of you can still remember the walkman, which was replaced by the Discman, then MP3 and so on, until you come to the more modern mobile phones.

But the real revolution came with the internet and programmes, like Spotify, which allow you to listen to music with streaming technology.

These new inventions mean you can listen to music with just a click and without needing a CD or having to wait for your favourite song to play on the radio.

It’s really easy to use. Receiving an invitation from a friend or acquaintance who uses it gives you access to a huge catalogue of all sorts of music. You can search for your favourite artists, and all you have to do is hit play once you’ve selected the songs or albums you want to listen to. It’s that easy to get music on your speakers.

But if you’re not totally convinced by Spotify, you can also listen to songs on the MySpace sites of different groups, on LastFm, or other alternatives like Spool, Mixtape, StreamDrag, Mufin or Deezer which also use streaming.

As you can see, with thousands of options within your reach, you can have music at all times.

If there’s one thing that will never go out of fashion it’s the trench coat. It was invented by an Englishman for soldiers fighting in wars to protect themselves from the cold, wind and damp, all at once. And in just a few decades this coat has gone from the frontlines to the stores.

Apart from its history, it’s completely timeless and can be used all year round.

Lined trench coats are for winter, while you can use ones in lighter fabrics in the summer.

Plus, the possibilities are endless: not just the classic camel, but many more colours to suit all tastes.

To shorter models.

As well as models with slight variations in detailing, like on the sleeves or others in more unusual colours like red.

MANGO’s Spring Collection has already hit the stores, and with it, lots of ideas for creating fresh, feminine and flattering looks. But this collection inspires a lot more, including make-up and hair suggestions that have been spotted on the catwalk.

Make-up is all about skin, with very natural nude finishes, but this does not mean that it isn’t skilful. Quite the contrary, concealer and a good foundation will help you hide blemishes to give your complexion an even tone and texture.

Very soft colours in natural shades enhance lids and lips. But you should add a touch of luminosity by using a highlighter on the inner eye corners and a touch of lipgloss.

As for hairstyling suggestions, your best bet is a middle parting. Fringes and gel are out and have made way for sensual feminine styles with volume and bounce.

And how do you get these results? If you have fine straight hair use curlers to get a bit more volume, like the MANGO models backstage in the lower photo. Big curlers will give you large natural waves and a bit of styling cream or hairspray will sort the rest for you.

You can also use a large-barrelled curling iron to create these sexy waves. If you have curly hair, go for a middle parting. And if you want to achieve the results shown at MANGO, straighten your hair and follow up with curlers.

As you can see, this suggestion is valid for any length and looks perfect both with lighter or darker hair.

It’s not long until spring, so start practicing this natural and feminine look for make-up and hair!

The time has now come for international interviews, so let’s start by interviewing Jessie Madrigal, author of Fashion Limbo (one of the most important blogs around) and a pretty regular shopper at MANGO, every time she comes to Spain. Do you want to know what she told us?

How did you start your blog?
I started it when I had a rather boring job that I found depressing, since it really didn’t suit me. My boyfriend encouraged me to do something to do with my dream, which was to write about fashion, and that’s how fashionlimbo.com started.

What do you think about the blogosphere phenomenon?
It’s amazing the influence fashion bloggers have in the fashion world. It’s a different way of keeping up to date on trends, different styles or fashions without having to read VOGUE or follow it religiously. In countries like Spain it’s giving the fashion world a fresh boost.

What are your favourite blogs?
For vintage fashion I read retrochick.co.uk. The Sartorialist is a classic. And Facehunter is another must. For fun I like gofugyourself. I also read several weblogs in Spanish.

Do you normally shop at MANGO?
I go to MANGO far too often. It’s hard not to, especially when I’m visiting Spain, MANGO is my first stop.

Why do you like MANGO?
I love the colours and prints. The collections aren’t at all boring. The party dresses are fantastic. I love the contrast between very feminine stuff and the rocker style jeans and t-shirts usually have. I also have great trouble resisting MANGO handbags.

What does Think Up suggest to you?
For me. Think Up is innovation, a refreshing approach to fashion and creating your own style.

A trench: all brands are bringing out different versions in amazing selections of colour. And clogs for summer. Did you see Alexa Chung in British VOGUE? I love it!

How would you describe your style in a single sentence?
Fashion is there for you to enjoy yourself, and that’s what I’m doing.

Do you have a fashion icon?
Madonna. She’s had some rather extravagant moments, but her collaborations with Gaultier and other designers are legendary. Whatever she wears becomes a trend the following year. She’s the epitome of “fashion forward”. I love her.

Who’s your favourite designer?
I have a weakness for British designers: Westwood, McQueen, Stella…

Who do you think are the best-dressed celebrities just now?
I love Diane Kruger, Alexa Chung, Daisy Lowe, and the only reason I watch Gossip Girl is Blake Lively.
