Dip your hands in fashion with MANGO’s ring collection

Hands can say a lot about a person. When I first meet someone I pay special attention to their hands: the size, texture, nails… and also the rings.
I don’t usually wear rings, purely for reasons of comfort. I only wear them as accessories for a certain look when I have a date, a special event or a party.
If you haven’t seen MANGO’s ring collection yet, you should have a look at the Mangoshopdisplay. They’re all fantastic for finishing off a variety of looks and with them your hands will also follow fashion.
Get Scarlett Johansson’s make-up look from the Autumn-Winter collection

A few days ago we showed you MANGO’s latest trends for this Autumn-Winter 2009/2010 collection, brought to you by Montag and Scarlett Johansson. Just like we did for the actress’s first collaboration with the Spanish brand, here we examine her make-up so that you can copy it easily at home.
It’s discreet and very flattering, using mainly browns and nudes, and the focus is on the eyes. This make-up will suit you no matter what your hair and eye colours are, as it uses rather neutral shades. It’s also very versatile, so it’s very easy to match to clothes.
The eyeshadow shades used aren’t too intense or bright. You should use a beige base colour for the entire lid and then apply a mink-coloured eyeshadow over it, insisting especially on the crease to give the look more depth. Both these shadows must be matte.
Coats: key items for this winter

Whether it’s animal, gingham, or geometric prints; trenches, jackets, capes or military styles or short, waist or ankle-length… coats are this winter’s star items. They’re worn by celebs and people on the street alike, both day and night, and are casual and dressy. What are you waiting for to get your own?
Fashion doesn’t always mean impractical uncomfortable designs. Coats are as necessary as they are versatile and recyclable, and they adapt well to the trends which drive you mad every year when you’re trying to update your wardrobe.
Are Autumn-Winter 2009/2010 trends suitable for all body shapes?

The answer is yes. This Autumn-Winter 2009/2010, is not exclusively for skinny bodies with zero curves. This season, all trends are suitable for both thin and curvy women. This applies just as easily to extremely feminine fitted trends, like ladylike, glam rock or 80s-inspired styles, as to oversized styles in their tribute to grunge or the reappearance of 90s contrasts.
And there is nothing better than a curvy figure when playing with pencil skirts or dresses, skinny trousers, vinyl leggings, sheer finishes, blond lace or animal print. Don’t be scared of fitted items or enhanced contours to show off your waist, although many of us do wear more revealing or tight-fitting items to make up for a lack of curves.
Guys’ clothing for girls: dare to dress like your boyfriend?

How often have you heard there’s nothing sexier than a woman dressed in men’s clothes? What began centuries ago as the evolution of womenswear towards comfort, leaving heavy petticoats and skirts and venturing into masculine territory, has ended up being a fashion.
Now, feminine fashion borrows once again from the masculine wardrobe. This winter 09, maxi blazers, large check shirts, James Dean-style jackets, denim waistcoats in the style of California bikers, sweaters two sizes too big and boyfriend jeans are the key to a very masculine woman.
At the start of the century, women defended their right to wear trousers. Young women in Paris in the 1920s started the garçonne movement as an act of liberation and equality. Later, great designers like Yves Saint Laurent popularised the trouser suit, which until then had not been designed for women’s curves, making it the most seductive uniform ever seen.
Autumn-winter 2009/2010 fashion with Scarlett Johansson and MANGO

The woman of the moment for fashion this autumn-winter 2009/2010 is Scarlett Johansson, just in case you hadn’t heard. This American actress has been able to make her curves a point of reference and MANGO have chosen her to represent them worldwide.
To coincide with this partnership we already had a peek at the first trends from the Spanish brand modelled by Johansson. But that’s not all there is, since the winter months are very long and your wardrobe really has to be in good shape to deal with several months of cold weather. Read more…
If you were a shoe, what type of MANGO shoe would you be?

I must admit that footwear is one of my weaknesses… in all its guises: boots, platforms, sandals, wedges… I love them all! Many of you are sure to share this love for footwear, so I’ve got a little game-cum-survey for you.
Let’s start with MANGO’s autumn-winter collection, which you’re bound to have looked at already. Well, if you had to choose one piece of footwear to match your style, which would it be?
Maybe you’re mad about classic styles, like the shoes in the photo above, which are reinvented every season but with the same basic mould. I’ve really fallen for these suede ones, in two different colours.
Solidarity needn’t clash with fashion trends
Being in the fashion business doesn’t mean you can’t be charitable. On the contrary, fashion is one of the best launch pads from which to send out messages of solidarity: trends also speak the language of good intentions. MANGO is extremely conscious of this fact, so for the last few years it has been making the most of its influence within the fashion industry to raise awareness of problems existing in society, promoting universal values and fighting illnesses that affect us all, particularly women.
Plus, it also does this in a coherent manner and in the spirit of the brand, through original, different and unique pieces of clothing which everyone can effortlessly include in their wardrobe.
Street looks, perfect for sightseeing

When it comes to tourism not all dress styles are suitable for visiting certain cities, filled with slopes and cobbled streets: these can be really heavy-going on your feet, the first to suffer when choosing a certain style.
This is why, when travelling, you should depend more on common sense than on personal taste when choosing outfits. It’s true we all have a weakness for high heels since they are the most flattering type of footwear around, but they are definitely not the best option for an exhausting day of sightseeing.
This is why we are proposing 10 street styles which will help you be perfectly dressed this winter, without having to forget fashion and look like the typical tourist in white socks and sandals. Read more…
Dress for a party for less than 100 euros
The idea that you have to bankrupt yourself when buying clothes for special occasions is now a thing of the past. This season, eveningwear can also be used during the day and the looks we use for celebrating are increasingly versatile, which means you can’t use expense as an excuse not to dress up.
Thanks to MANGO Think Up, you can create exclusive looks for under 100 euros. All you have to do is get a hold of the key items we suggest in our catalogue, and alternate them.
