Although clothes and accessories are important for a party look, hairstyle and make-up are just as important. What’s more, if they’re not properly done, they can ruin even the nicest of dresses.

The stylists, make-up artists and hairdressers of MANGO campaigns know a lot about this and that is why we’ve taken a look at some of their creations, to recreate them this Christmas.

The first look can be seen on the gorgeous curvy Marie-Ange Casta. One of the rules of make-up is that you should do up your eyes or your lips, never both. Here all the attention is focused on those wonderful red lips, totally festive and sensual.

We just can’t help it. Apart from seeking inspiration from the international catwalks, we love seeing what the best-dressed celebrities are wearing to try and copy some of their star combinations. But this isn’t always so easy, especially when trying to get a hold of their evening dresses.

However, MANGO makes it easy. Thanks to some of their models, in the festive season you can shine just as much, or even more, as your favourite celebrities on the red carpet.

Do you fancy becoming Eva Longoria, Natalie Portman, Christina Ricci, Jessica Szohr, Charlize Theron or Helena Christensen?

Be original when wrapping your presents

Christmas is all about giving. And giving presents is a wonderful way to surprise those close to you. With gifts it’s the thought that counts, but the way in which it’s presented also helps.

For that reason, at MANGO THINK UP we’re suggesting several alternatives for you to wrap your presents, making them look more attractive. Opening a present isn’t just about tearing open the paper, it’s about enjoying it from the very start, admiring the wrapping and not knowing what the paper hides.

If you love nature and ecology, there’s nothing better than wrapping your packages with natural elements which are also very festive, like mistletoe, pine leaves, pine cones or anything else which reminds you directly of the Christmas spirit.

Spring 2010 collection preview: new looks for Christmas

29440337_02

More and more, collections are launched earlier and earlier. It used to be that you couldn’t find an item of the season until after the sales, but now it’s possible to get your hands on spring clothing before winter is even here officially (or dress in autumn clothing before the summer holidays).

On the one hand, this “fashion rush” is quite stressful, and on the other it’s a relief and a consolation. When you’ve been seeing the autumn-winter collection since July, it’s great to imagine the good weather is coming. Even if it’s just an illusion.

Continuing the theme of key wardrobe investments, now that December is here and we’re thinking about Christmas, let’s just save our energy for the celebrations and our money for the gifts.

You have to be practical, so additions to the autumn selection of your wardrobe should just consist of the bare minimum and stuff you use over and over again: a faux fur coat, musketeer boots, a leather skirt, long gloves and a nice warm sweater.

Giving presents is always a pleasure. The uncertainty of whether you’re getting it right and seeing the recipient react with a smile when opening the present… that’s all added to the desire to please someone. When the gift is for someone you love the reaction is even more exciting.

Christmas is just round the corner, and here at THINK UP we would like to give you some fashion ideas to give to your boyfriend in the Christmas season. You’re bound to already know MANGO’s H.E. Homini Emerito men’s collection. I like it because of all the varied trends it proposes, which will fit many different men’s styles.

Plus, if your boyfriend doesn’t know H.E. yet, after giving him an item from this brand going shopping together will be an enjoyable experience for both of you.

Claudia

As well as the wedding, christening and first communion season, one of the most dreaded seasons is Christmas. It’s the busiest time of year and suddenly family reunions coincide with the most important date on the calendar: New Year’s Eve.

Although the last week in December is still a while away, it’s time to start thinking about what you’re going to wear. If you put it off you’re likely to get involved Christmas shopping and leave the most important thing, the dress or outfit you’ve been awaiting for 365 days, till last.

If there’s something Christmas is good for, apart from eating anything you want guilt-free, is that it gives you the perfect excuse to update your party wardrobe.
