Fashion Swap Party: a really THINK UP party

When we suggested the contest “The best THINK UP idea” I loved reading all the original and affordable ideas you sent in. Your imagination and experiences gave us new ideas for being on trend without spending too much.
There were several suggestions I found very original, like the Fashion Swap Party, a brilliant idea I would like to share with you since it’s great to have one with your friends.
So, what do these three words mean? A Fashion Swap Party is a party where friends all get together to exchange clothes. It’s like going shopping with your friends, but at home and without spending anything at all.
How to liven up a party: sweet buffet

Now that the wind has started blowing outside, there’s snow on the streets and you’re staying at home with friends more and more, you probably often wonder new ways to surprise them when you have them round for dinner. Well, the answer to this problem is a sweet buffet. Think back to when you were a child and afternoons at the cinema with sweets were the best plan or buying confectionery in different tastes and colours to share with your friends was the coolest thing ever.
Even at birthdays, reunions, parties…. there are always sweets. We’ve got an idea that will make everyone want to start having get-togethers again. Read more…
Presentation of the Spring-Summer 2010 collection: celebrity catwalk and show
The fashion world’s calendar moves at a much quicker pace than the normal one. Although winter isn’t properly here yet, it’s already possible to see collections for Spring-Summer 2010.
This week the new MANGO, PURE LIGHT collection was presented in Madrid. It constitutes a 180-degree flip on winter aesthetics and gives a new slant on the more popular trends seen on the streets.
Many well-known faces attended the event, including Moises de la Renta (and his spectacular girlfriend), who was also presenting his limited edition t-shirt collection, designed especially for MANGO. Although the most eagerly-awaited presence of the evening was this season’s muse for the brand, Scarlett Johansson.
Tips for getting ready for Christmas in style: what to wear this holiday season
As well as the wedding, christening and first communion season, one of the most dreaded seasons is Christmas. It’s the busiest time of year and suddenly family reunions coincide with the most important date on the calendar: New Year’s Eve.
Although the last week in December is still a while away, it’s time to start thinking about what you’re going to wear. If you put it off you’re likely to get involved Christmas shopping and leave the most important thing, the dress or outfit you’ve been awaiting for 365 days, till last.
If there’s something Christmas is good for, apart from eating anything you want guilt-free, is that it gives you the perfect excuse to update your party wardrobe.
Dress for a party for less than 100 euros
The idea that you have to bankrupt yourself when buying clothes for special occasions is now a thing of the past. This season, eveningwear can also be used during the day and the looks we use for celebrating are increasingly versatile, which means you can’t use expense as an excuse not to dress up.
Thanks to MANGO Think Up, you can create exclusive looks for under 100 euros. All you have to do is get a hold of the key items we suggest in our catalogue, and alternate them.
How to make the most of a wedding look

It’s always great news when an acquaintance, friend or relative gets married, even if this is usually accompanied by headaches in terms of style. We all dread that “wedding moment”. The thing is, even though we are excited at the thought of swapping jeans and t-shirts for elegant outfits, the transition from casual to formal is not always as simple and exciting.
Most of the time, searching for the perfect look is quite an expensive exercise, especially if we have many events and our purses don’t stretch to such a large wardrobe. So, what is the best solution? Spend a lot on one dress and get our money’s worth by repeating it? Or, to have several cards up our sleeve and also be able to use these outfits again?
In my opinion, the second option is almost always the best.
