Step on it this spring with MANGO shoes

I have a great weakness for shoes. I couldn’t wait to see the footwear collection from MANGO’s Spring Preview and I’ve finally been able to have a look.
I was impressed. MANGO has gone for design and innovation. Every shoe, boot, sandal or slipper has its own personality, with details that contribute to elaborate and original final designs.
If there is a colour that dominates it’s brown. Without doubt it will be one of the season’s trends and a safe bet for your wardrobe.
Five basic items for spring-summer 2010

Spring is nearing and it’s time to make a note of the clothes you should start thinking about. Fortunately, trends change less and less and you should have no problems using last summer’s buys next summer – it’s all a matter of recycling. But if you really want to start renewing your wardrobe you should start with the basics.
I’m placing my bets on dresses in romantic cuts, jersey fabric, platforms, striking prints and light trenches.
MANGO shoes for these sales

The sales are almost here, and with them the chance to buy what you wanted to but was too expensive. Which is why you chose to wait for these big January sales!
MANGO is giving you the chance to update your wardrobe for less. If you follow THINK UP ideas you can add several of the pairs of shoes you had in mind to your wardrobe.
Here are some suggestions in case you were wondering what to buy. Read more…
Tell me what your legs are like and I’ll tell you what stockings and shoes to wear

Legs shouldn’t be any less important during autumn-winter. Quite the opposite in fact. Thanks to stockings, leggings, boots and shoes you’ll have the chance to make the most of them and show them off in style.
The good thing about wearing stockings is that they hide flaws, make your legs look slimmer and ensure you don’t show off more than you bargained for when wearing very short skirts or dresses.
Dark colours like black and brown are classics for winter. They’re great for slimming down your legs (the thicker the stockings or leggings the better) and they are so versatile and indispensable, that they’re a must for your wardrobe.
If you were a shoe, what type of MANGO shoe would you be?

I must admit that footwear is one of my weaknesses… in all its guises: boots, platforms, sandals, wedges… I love them all! Many of you are sure to share this love for footwear, so I’ve got a little game-cum-survey for you.
Let’s start with MANGO’s autumn-winter collection, which you’re bound to have looked at already. Well, if you had to choose one piece of footwear to match your style, which would it be?
Maybe you’re mad about classic styles, like the shoes in the photo above, which are reinvented every season but with the same basic mould. I’ve really fallen for these suede ones, in two different colours.
High heels and military boots: two opposing trends for this winter

Quite often, you’ll find the fashion world has no happy medium, it tends to focus on extremes. Trends are like that, if you’re going to present something as “new” you will have to market it accordingly. This explains why the two trends attracting the most attention this winter are extreme.
First you have stilettos, which are hardly going to ensure your feet are in optimum health and then, there are military boots, which turn out to be two large tanks to be paired up with outfits you would never even have considered before. Read more…
