We’ve already said a lot about celebrities as possible new faces or designers for MANGO. But one of the groups we’re most interested in, halfway between celebrities and normal girls like you and me, are bloggers: a new generation of fashion lovers who have made their voices heard on the internet and have become improvised icons from their (no longer quite so) humble style diaries.

They are all over the world. Some are internationally famous and others are local muses, but they all have the same approach: teaching what they wear.

Muses on the web: unknown girls transformed into icons

The internet has changed everything, from the consumption of information to clothes shopping. Nothing escapes the transformation of the net. The web, with its social networks, blogs and other features, has even changed the fashion business, and given rise to the creation of new points of reference in fashion.

Years ago, and parallel to its musical platform, the MySpace social network created its own version aimed at the fashion world, setting up an immense space worldwide where women from everywhere were able to show off their styles.

Some did it for fun and without much preparation, while others created such a build-up that they became points of reference for many women who followed their style tips for future purchases and adapted them to their way of dressing. Read more…
